Swimming water quality
This site offers information about the quality of surface waters that also function as swimming water. You can also find swimming and rescue tips.
Every year, from the 15th of April till the 15th of September, the province of Zeeland measures the quality of swimming water. This is done in co-operation with Rijkswaterstaat department Zeeland and Waterschap Scheldestromen.
At least once in two weeks, the water gets measured and analysed at 55 different locations. Throughout the year the quality of the water meets the legal standards. If the quality exceeds the legal standards, the province of Zeeland will take measures to keep guaranteeing the safety.
